Machine Learning Past, Present and Future

  Machine learning unites statistics and computer science to enable the computer to learn how to do a given task without being programmed. The application of machine learning gives the computers or the machines the ability to learn automatically and improvise task by the experience without precise programming. They access the data and uses it to learn for their tasks. It observes, process and experiment the data. 

The more the machine collects the data, the more accurate the machine will be. It makes mistakes and learn from it to do the task better in the future. It is all started in 1959 by data scientist Arthur Lee Samuels computer program that could teach itself how to play Checker. This evolved from scientist to scientist and  now we are here with this Machine learning and Artificial intelligence.


The computer learns by themselves without the human interventions. The algorithms are used to make the keywords understandable. The data which the machine collects can be any unprocessed fact, sound, picture, text, but the information is used and manipulated into useful data. Machine learning is used in various areas like for the education, health care, analysis, etc. The analysis of data, managing the data, securing the data and processing the data are all part of the machine learning.    According to Drew Henry, “The world of one trillion IoT devices we anticipate by 2035 will deliver infrastructural and architectural challenges on a new scale…our technology must keep evolving to cope. On the edge computing side, it means Arm will continue to invest heavily in developing the hardware, software, and tools to enable intelligent decision-making at every point in the infrastructure stack. It also means using heterogeneous [computation] at the processor level and throughout the network—from cloud to edge to endpoint device.” 

The future of the machine learning and artificial intelligence is raised already in many companies. Is machine learning an end to the workforce? The studies shows that many of the people refuses to the ML and AL, The work of manpower and job opportunities are becoming low. It has rapidly reduced, as the automation and the day-to-day life is also got adapted to the developing technology of ML and AL.

The AL application, the ML has the ability to do all the manpower work. The possible growth is high, based on the statistics. The machines which have so much demand for the present condition is GPUs, the firms knows all the benefits of Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning. The medical cares expects diagnosis, and firms need prediction and advertising.

When the algorithm which is stored in the cloud is not used and, the data is locally processed in algorithm is stored in a hardware device is called Edge machine learning. It is growing in many forms as it consumes less power. The study says the future of artificial intelligence and machine learning will develop and will be affordable for everyone. The future development will be fast as the technologies are grasping all the opportunities to make better developed Technological industries. They are even ready to face the impact as well as the smart future.
